Cut is all about the shape of clothing and how that works on your actual body.

Talking about body shape and women’s clothing is like walking through a booby-trapped swamp. It's a quagmire with landmines thrown in.

It shouldn’t be, but it is.

For soooo many reasons...

IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S THEM

Main problem: people think their body is ‘wrong’.

That's not even a possible thing.  How could this unique, amazing creation be 'wrong'?

It's not you, it's them. And here's why...

  • Stores generally base all their sizes on an 8 or 10 pattern and then just add inches to size up. But real bodies don’t work that way. Just because you're a larger dress size, your arms are not that much longer. A larger chest can often mean a much smaller waist. So the larger sizes end up fitting badly.
  • There are so many images out there showing us hundreds of ‘ideal’ body shapes every single day. It’s overwhelming. It drives you mad.
  • The whole apple/ pear/ hourglass system doesn't help. How can you be sure what you are? And then why don’t the suggested styles look all that good?

See. It's a QUAGMIRE.

Sigh.

Let’s break this down into simple steps.

  1. Use the cut of clothing to create a harmonious impression with your body.
  2. Use it to draw attention where you want it go.
  3. Take the gaze away from parts you want to play down.

That's all you need to do. Next, I'll show you step-by-step how to do it.
